Books For Guyana
What is the mission ?
To bring books and learning opportunities to children in remote Guyanese communities, and to open doors to knowledge, imagination, and brighter futures.
How it started ?
During an volunteer year teaching, I saw first hand that children in the jungle had almost no access to books or information - a gap that limited education and growth, so I set out to build a library.
Why Guyana?
Guyana is the only English-speaking country in South America, making it a great place to reuse books coming from Edinburgh primary schools and families across Scotland.
